KindTake ("we," "our," or "the App") is developed as a privacy-first leadership flight simulator designed to help managers practice high-stakes workplace conversations in a safe, private environment.

We believe that leadership development requires a truly confidential space to make mistakes, iterate, and build confidence. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is processed, and how we protect your confidentiality.

Our Privacy Guarantees

Zero Proprietary Cloud Databases: We do not operate proprietary user databases or cloud servers to store your practice logs.

On-Device Storage: Your practice conversation transcripts, performance reports, diagnostic scores, badges, and user profile remain stored locally on your device.

Encrypted Voice Simulation: Live voice conversations are streamed in real time over an encrypted connection directly to our conversational AI voice provider to synthesize responses.

No Advertising or Data Brokers: We never sell, rent, or monetize your personal information, voice recordings, or transcripts. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking pixels.

Information Handled by KindTake

A. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is created during your use of KindTake and is stored locally within your device’s secure application sandbox (`UserDefaults` and shared App Group container):

Practice History & Transcripts: Chronological transcripts of your simulation sessions, turn-by-turn dialogue, and scenario IDs.

Performance Telemetry: Overall coaching effectiveness scores, Situation-Behavior-Impact (SBI) ratings, Fact-to-Assumption ratios, communication trap classifications, and sentiment trajectory graphs.

Profile & Progression: Your display name, management role, experience level, growth goals, earned badges, XP points, and active daily practice streak.

User Preferences: Audio settings, haptic feedback toggles, and notification reminder schedules.

This data never leaves your device to any server operated by KindTake.

B. Live Conversational Audio (In-Transit Processing)

When you engage in a live voice simulation session:

Audio Input: Your spoken voice is captured via the device microphone and streamed in real time to our voice engine provider, ElevenLabs, Inc.

Protocol & Encryption: Audio is transmitted over secure, encrypted WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP) connections.

Purpose of Processing: The audio is processed strictly to provide real-time speech-to-text transcription, AI persona reasoning, and text-to-speech voice synthesis so the persona can respond in character.

Retention: Audio streams are processed ephemerally during the call. KindTake does not permanently store raw audio recordings on external servers.

C. In-App Subscriptions & Purchases

In-app subscriptions (KindTake Pro) are processed directly by Apple via StoreKit.

We utilize RevenueCat as a subscription management SDK to validate purchase receipts with Apple.

KindTake never receives or stores your payment card details, bank account information, or billing address. All financial transactions are handled solely by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.

We strictly limit third-party services to those essential for the core functionality of the App:

On-Device Intelligence & Analytics

On-Device Evaluation: Post-session conversational analysis, sentiment trajectory calculations, and coached verbatim rewrites are performed either using Apple's on-device `FoundationModels` or our local on-device heuristic engine.

Zero Tracking SDKs: KindTake contains no third-party behavioral analytics trackers (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase, Segment, Facebook SDK, or Mixpanel) and does not collect Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).

User Control and Data Management

You have complete control over your data within KindTake:

Clear History: You can reset or delete your entire simulation history at any time from the app settings or debug actions.

Device Permissions: You can grant or revoke microphone access and notification permissions at any time through iOS Settings (`Settings > KindTake`).

Complete Data Deletion: Deleting the KindTake application from your device permanently removes all locally stored practice sessions, transcripts, and profile data from your device storage.

Children's Privacy

KindTake is a professional leadership coaching application designed for workplace managers and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect enhancements in application functionality or changes in legal requirements. Any updates will be posted within the App and in this repository with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App following changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
